It was an honor to have The Honorable Rodney Hood speak at our March 2022 Chapter Meeting. Mr. Hood, currently an NCUA board member and former Chairman, engagingly spoke about the key focuses for the credit union industry in 2022 and years to come.  Credit union and business partners from all over the Houston area joined Mr. Hood at First Service

The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions continues to raise funds for children’s charities.  On Saturday, August 14, 2021, nine (9) credit unions participated in the Chapter’s annual Volleyball Tournament at Willowbrook Sports Complex. Participants in the event and the chapter board raised over $5,900 for children’s charities. The tournament winners were: 1st Place       Investex Credit Union  2nd Place

The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions will have their annual Summer Food Drive to help support the Houston Food Bank.  With the support of our community credit unions and business partners, we can help feed the hungry in our area.  You can drop off your items at any of these 3 locations: Energy Capital Credit Union         

  Together with CU Alliance, the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions hosted the 2021 Golf Tournament on May 4th.  With over 130 golfers and the support of many credit union and business partner sponsorships, the tournament was a resounding success! The Houston Chapter raised over $29,000 which will go towards the Children Charities Fund and the Chapter’s Disaster Relief Fund. 

The board of directors has submitted proposed changes to the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions bylaws. These bylaws will be reviewed and voted on at the Annual Meeting.

The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions raised funds for children’s charities. On Saturday, March 7, 2020, 23 credit unions and business partners participated in the Chapter’s annual Bowling Tournament at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, TX. The tournament winners were: 1st Place – Houston Metro Federal Credit Union 2nd Place – Primeway Federal Credit Union 3rd Place – Cy Fair Federal

The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions continues to raise funds for children’s charities. On Saturday, August 17, 2019, eight (8) credit unions participated in the Chapter’s annual Volleyball Tournament at Willowbrook Sports Complex, TX. Participants in the event and the chapter board raised $6,600 for children’s charities. The tournament winners were: First Place – First Community Credit Union Second Place

The Houston Chapter of Credit Union’s summer food drive was a great success!  Houston Credit Unions collected 3,757 pounds of food to donate to the Houston Food Bank.  Thank you to all of our participating credit unions in helping feed our cities hungry this summer!
