DSC_5113The Credit Union Volunteers Association (CUVA) was formed to meet the training and development needs of Greater-Houston Area Credit Union Directors and other volunteers. The meetings are normally held monthly at the same location, date, and time as the Houston-Area Chapter of Credit Unions mini-session. Training sessions are also provided at individual credit unions. The mini-session normally focuses on topics of interest to credit union CEO’s and staff members and CUVA is for the volunteers. The monthly meeting is in the format of a forum with a presentation and discussion of key “currently hot topics of concern to the credit union community” and a key topical presentation. The key topical presentations are normally by professionals working in that field and group discussion and questions from those attending are encouraged. There are no costs for CUVA meetings as the Houston Chapter provides the meeting space. ALL Greater Houston area credit union board members and volunteers are encouraged to attend these informative forums.
